THERESE BOYLE-NIEGO
Camp Leader & Former Pro Player/Coach

A Former Division 1 Collegiate National Champion & All American, Therese Boyle-Niego is an amazing woman on fire for her love for God, the faith, and volleyball.  She acquired many titles, such as being a former USA Professional Player, as well as a Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame Recipient.  She has coached at the Univesity of Wisconsin as well as Loyola University.  Therese has been the director of Elite Volleyball Program, Inc. for over 20 years.
​
She enjoys volunteering, currently serving as coordinator for the Lower Wacker Lunch Mission, as well as assisting the Women's Center Baby Bottle Project and St. Cajetan's Volleyball Program. She currently attends Saint Cajetan Parish with her husband & 6 children. Coach Therese looks forward to returning to lead and coach camp this summer!

Fr. Michael Kearney
Camp Chaplain

Fr. Michael is a priest from the Diocese of Joliet. He is currently a Spiritual Director on the Formation Staff at St. John Vianney Seminary in St. Paul, MN. His former assignment at Visitation Catholic Church in Elmhurst, IL. Fr. Michael received an engineering degree from the University of Illinois and worked as a FOCUS missionary before being ordained in 2016. 
Fr. Michael played volleyball for Sport Performance for 3 full years.  He was a back row specialist and made setter for his high school.  His junior year, he was part of the IHSA boy’s volleyball state championship team at Naperville Central in ‘98.  In college, he played volleyball at the U of I club team.  While in FOCUS, he volunteered helping Division II Univ. of Colorado, Colorado Springs team and Division 1 University of Missouri, Kansas City team.  At seminary, he helped start a men's club team and played on the Conception Abbey volleyball team to bring home a trophy.  As a priest, he helped coach the girls’ varsity team at ICCP.   This will be Fr. Micheal's second year as camp chaplain!

Cathleen Connolly Robinson
Coach

Coach Robinson had played at Georgetown University and is a former Mother McAuley State Volleyball Champion.  Her coaching experience includes having been an assistant coach at St. Xavier University.  She loves volunteering to help out teach volleyball as well as soccer, and also is a mentor in the Corporate Work Study Program at Christ the King Jesuit Prep High School.  Cathy is a member of St. John of the Cross Parish.  She is looking forward to coaching CVC again!

Matt Simon
Coach

Matt has been teaching volleyball to girls and boys of all ages for the past 17 years at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Westmont.  IMPACT certified, he has also developed and run the Holy Trinity Summer Volleyball Camp for the past 6 years, serving over 160 players.  Matt is married with three children and two grandchildren, and has been active in Holy Trinity Parish for 32 years. 2020 will be his 2nd year coaching Catholic Volleyball Camp.



Schedule:

Family Night
CSC holds Family Night for each camp the night before camp begins. Everyone in the family is invited to attend. The night includes Mass, pizza with the coaches, a faith & sports talk, and the chance to check in and receive your official camp gear!

Camper Attire:

  • Athletic shorts
  • Athletic shoes 
  • Camp Jersey - These will be handed out at Family Night and at Wednesday check-in.
           Other T-shirt is permitted if camp shirt is being laundered.

  • Water Bottle
  • Snack (if needed)
